Sophia is the oldest daughter of Jack Bunney, and grew up on their family owned, purebred Black Angus and commercial cattle ranch in Cessford, Alberta. She graduated high school a year early in 2024 and then spent three months on an agricultural internship in Avon, Illinois. Sophia started in December as a herdsperson at Bow Valley Genetics. In her free time, she enjoys leather working and tooling, riding ranch broncs, and spending time behind the chutes with good friends. Sophia plans on taking another gap year before getting her animal science and technology degree at Lakeland College. She hopes to build a career from her schooling and work experiences.
